Our story

It started with one sourdough starter named Doris.

Five years ago we began baking for neighbors out of a single home oven. Word spread block by block — first the sourdough, then the croissants, then the cakes — and Sweet Schulze became the quiet local favorite people whisper about.

We still bake from that same kitchen. Small batches, slow ferments, real butter, and no shortcuts. If we wouldn't serve it at our own table, we don't sell it.

  • · Locally milled flour, ethically-sourced dairy
  • · 24–48 hour cold ferments on every bread
  • · Bakes pulled from the oven the morning of pickup

Kind words

From the neighborhood.

"The croissants are genuinely better than anything I've had outside of Paris. I am not exaggerating."
— Marisol R., regular since 2022
"We ordered our daughter's first birthday cake from Sweet Schulze and people are still talking about it a year later. The brown butter cake is dangerous."
— The Halverson family
"That sourdough has ruined every other loaf for me. Worth setting a Wednesday calendar reminder."
— Dev P.
"You can taste that someone cared. Every single time."
— Annika L.
